* Which applications in a brewery would you use DC power for? Justify why it is better than AC power for these applications.
Response:
DC power is often used for control systems and instrumentation. These have sensitive electronic circuitry that can be affected by large voltages or currents and thus low voltage DC power is safer to use. Using DC power allows for back-up power to be supplied by batteries which cannot as easily be done for equipment requiring AC power.
